I just received my first pack of Hurraw! lip balm from my friend/colleague Neil. Created by his wife Corrie, Hurraw! is an all natural, vegan, raw lip balm that not only works wonders but is also designed very well. The branding is a lot of fun and the packaging is great, it also makes my lips irresistible to women. They come in a variety of flavors, go get yours at Hurraw!
My friend and fellow designer Marian Chiao has started a fun little project called Build Happy. She calls it a ‘graphic playground’ where designers are invited to participate in a variety of fun/quick design projects. With new curated assignments every week designers have free range to choose which projects they would like to participate in. I’ve done a few of the assignments myself and as fun as they are to make, the real treat is seeing how other designers take on each week’s challenge. I recently worked on some style frames for Selena Gomez & The Scene’s new music video Naturally. She’s part of Disney’s League of Super Influential Teenage Pop Sensations. Kids, sell your soul to Disney, you can have all the overpriced churros and frozen bananas that you want. The video was directed by Chris Dooley at National Television.
