It’s good to be back working with the National Television crew. We had a small Cinco De Mayo party last week. Churros were the winners of that afternoon.

I don’t design t-shirt graphics too much anymore, mostly because I don’t have the time. Here’s one I did for New York skate brand Mighty Healthy, early last year.

My friend Brandon has recently relaunched his web design/programming company Forge Web. Brandon and I have collaborated on several web jobs including Mighty Healthy, Armor Jewelry as well as DavidYChun. He always does really solid work and makes everything easy to use and maintain. One of my favorite design blogs has asked me to join their community and contribute to their site. Graphic Hug is comprised of a many different creatives all around the world and is pretty unique in its blogging content. I’m used to seeing many blogs post the same material within days of each other, but Graphic Hug always finds a way to post new and interesting work that I’ve never seen before. I’m very happy to be a part of their project, even though I’m the worst blogger and I only have 5 readers. So if you want better blog posts, don’t read my blog, goto Graphic Hug.

I just received my first pack of Hurraw! lip balm from my friend/colleague Neil. Created by his wife Corrie, Hurraw! is an all natural, vegan, raw lip balm that not only works wonders but is also designed very well. The branding is a lot of fun and the packaging is great, it also makes my lips irresistible to women. They come in a variety of flavors, go get yours at Hurraw!

My friend and fellow designer Marian Chiao has started a fun little project called Build Happy. She calls it a ‘graphic playground’ where designers are invited to participate in a variety of fun/quick design projects. With new curated assignments every week designers have free range to choose which projects they would like to participate in. I’ve done a few of the assignments myself and as fun as they are to make, the real treat is seeing how other designers take on each week’s challenge. I recently worked on some style frames for Selena Gomez & The Scene’s new music video Naturally. She’s part of Disney’s League of Super Influential Teenage Pop Sensations. Kids, sell your soul to Disney, you can have all the overpriced churros and frozen bananas that you want. The video was directed by Chris Dooley at National Television. Bobby Kim aka Big Phony will be playing a show tomorrow night at Joe’s Pub. If you’re in the New York area be sure to check it out. He’ll be opening for another musician Susie Suh. His new album “Kicking Punching Bags” is also due to release some time this month so stay tuned to his blog for the new stuff. Congrats Bobby.

A few months ago I was asked by Computer Arts Magazine to give a few tips on how to prepare/improve a portfolio for recently graduated art students. I’m not really much of an authority on anything but it was nice to see my name listed besides so many other talented designers/creatives. NATL has just finished a new spot for Discovery Channel’s “Sundays are Awesome”. I pitched on this project and very mildly helped with some of the production but all the real credit goes to Jeni Wamberg for her designs. Great job Wambergundy, you stay classy. Click here to view the animation.

For all you Zooey Deschanel lovers, Bobby aka Big Phony has just released a new single called “Zooey, You’re Okay.” You can listen/download it from the Big Phony Myspace page. Bobby also has a bunch of new live performances on his website so be sure to check it out.

Before pursuing a career in motion graphics, making t-shirt graphics was how I kept food in my stomach and clothes on my back. I’ve just added a T-Shirt section to the Works page of my website.

My sister Janete makes these funny mustached dog dolls. I can imagine Cecil & Morris sitting by the fire place sipping on scotch, bitterly arguing the differences between full plaid and belted plaid. You can purchase these two fine gentlemen for $15 each at My Dad’s Hands Etsy Shop.

Two of my favorite people have just finished their 8th and final term at Art Center College of Design. Amin Zahiry and Erin Ong are extremely talented designers and unlike myself, they know how to finish what they started. Congratulations again on your graduation. Sorry for the lack of updates, I really do suck at blogging. I’ve made a bunch of changes to the site and I’m still working out some other kinks so stay tuned for some new updates. In the meantime I’m proud to say that the new Mighty Healthy website is up and running. I was fortunate to work with my good friend Brandon again on building out this website. Denis and Ray have some big things brewing out in NY so make sure you check out their new site.

My girlfriend Sandee has just finished her first line of some pretty great looking body jewelry. The line is called Armor. She describes the brand below:

After years of procrastination I am happy to announce that my website is ready.
